Cleaning Up an Oscillating Stand Fan

It is summer now and the heat is enough for us to seek refuge from a well-ventilating oscillating stand fan. Because the heat is on, we may need to clean up our trusted oscillating fans the more. The dust can easily gather so here are a few golden rules to follow in cleaning your precious oscillating stand fan:

First step is to unplug the oscillating stand fan. This will ensure that you are not in danger while cleaning the oscillating stand fan.

You would have to remove the front grill by unfastening the front grille clips. You can remove the grille by lifting it up. This will make it easy for you to clean the parts that are inside it.

Next would be to unscrew the blade cap which you will do by turning it clockwise. Of course, it is expected that you clean in every inch. Wipe it off with the right quality of cloth and cleanser which will ensure that all the dust are wiped off and that the fan will be blowing fresh air around the place.

You can then remove the grille blade assembly and clean it separately. After that you can unscrew the rear grille cap by turning it clockwise. You can then remove the rear grille.

After everything, you can wipe all the parts of the fan till down with a damp, soapy cloth or paper towel. An old towel will also do the job of cleaning it. Look for one that is thick. That helps a lot in removing the thick remnants of dust that are found in the appliance.

Put out all the parts of the fan for drying. This will make sure that it will be able to give off cleaner and cooler air. After everything has dried, you have to out everything back up together by following a reverse order of the aforementioned steps. Of course the last step would be to plug it in and test if it works better than before you cleaned it.

There are different types of oscillating fans. Some of them are good to mount on the table while some are of the box types. Cleaning these fans is necessary to prolong their life span as well as to make sure that you are getting optimum results from it.
